Our to our lake association website Dedicated to preserving the health, safety, welfare and prosperity of the lakes and forest that surround Hand and Hay Lakes.
We encourage you to join our lake association. Yearly dues are $15. The money is used to fund projects, maintain a website, and produce the twice yearly newsletter
Over the years projects have been proposed and implemented. Today the lake is as clear and pristine as it ever was. Much of the shoreline is undeveloped and we endeavor to keep it that way. There is much wildlife to be seen and each year the loons return the lake to make their nests and raise their young. And , of course, fishing is always good due to on going projects.
It was in 1987 when a few of the owners of lake shore property on Hand Lake, realizing the necessity of protecting, preserving, and maintaining the quality of such a beautiful lake, came together to form the Hand Lake Association. Hay Lake later became part of the association. To this day the goal remains: dedicated to preserving the health, safety, welfare and prosperity of the lakes and forest that surround Hand and Hay Lakes.
